Sadly, for multiple reasons, I will not be able to attend Interfuse again this year (for the third time in a row... : - (
Can someone please take a photo of the little tree I planted and tell me how it's doing?

Re: Does Beauty Thrive?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 4:08 PMGlad you planted a tree out there. It's possible I could take a photo of it, so you can track it's progress. However, just seeing you and the tree doesn't give me ANY idea where in the hell it is at OA! Some actual info might help myself or another take on your request. -

Re: Does Beauty Thrive?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 4:35 PMWell, I haven't been there for a while, so I don't know how best to say. It was in the next clearing towards the entrance from where the burn has been, sort of on the way to the showers. It was just uphill from where the Mindfucker dome was in '04 & '05.
It's a weeping willow, and probably the only one of those in the area where there was camping. I planted it near a wet spot to help suck up the water. -

Re: Does Beauty Thrive?
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 7:18 AMMore like dried out -- willows like lots of water and that location gets pretty dry during the late summer. -

Re: Does Beauty Thrive?
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 9:05 PMWell, that's too bad. It was in a really swampy, wet spot when it was planted during Interfuse '05. Musta been all the rain... -

Re: Does Beauty Thrive?
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 5:28 PMUmm....
You know the Monty Python skit about the parrot?
The Tree of Gondor waiting for the last King?!!
It's not sleeping.
It's dead.
It's feet aren't nailed to the perch, no blossom will flower.
It's dead.
Stone cold. No afterlife. Dead.
No hope of resurrection. No DNA bring the Dinosaurs back. Dead.
It's still Spiritual in it's own way. A special time and place. I remember the planting ceremony.
As fuel for next years Burn, it will make a great symbol of something dry and combustible, but..
It's dead.
Sorry.
